Aquamarine translates to 'color of the sea'. Legend has it that aquamarine is the treasure of mermaids and that sailors carried them around for luck and protection while at sea. It is said to be a stone of courage and letting go, bringing calmness and support to its wearers.
A knot between each stone prevents the stones from rubbing against each other, and protects them from chips and damage, and in the unlikely event that the silk thread breaks, the knots prevent all the stones from sliding out. The necklace is also back-knotted, increasing its security and reducing the chances of the necklace coming undone.
Care: As the necklace is threaded with silk, it important to avoid excessive moisture from activities such as swimming, showering, and exercising. Excessive moisture will cause the silk to stretch. Wipe the gemstones with a damp cloth, if needed. If you take care of them, they will last many years.
